Matt North — President
Matt was born and raised in Texas. He has been in the flooring industry for 22 years. Matt spent 6 years of his flooring career as a professional tile installer. He has worked in warehousing and logistics, customer service and operations, installation and jobsite management and was the top salesman every year of his sales career. He has extensive knowledge in both residential and commercial flooring working with Custom Home Builders and large scale Commercial Contractors.
He believes the employees are the heart of the operation. His desire is to build a company where the employees want to come to work and the customers want to come back.
Matt has been married for 21 years to his beautiful wife Bonnie. They have 3 amazing children together. Their oldest son is currently serving our country in the US Army. He was also married in 2017 and Matt had the honor of officiating the wedding. Their other son is in his junior year of high school and desires to enter the Army after he graduates as well. Last but not least, their youngest and only daughter who is in the 8th grade. Her passion is horses and hanging out with friends. Matt loves spending time with his family when he is not working. His wife is his best friend. He also loves cars, the Dallas Cowboys and watching movies.
Keith LeVardi — Controller
Keith is a former television sports broadcaster, turned accountant. His accounting career has been successful and versatile, having worked in public accounting for 8 years before switching to the corporate environment. Keith’s industry experiences include oil and gas, hospitality, HVAC services and telecommunications. He is very excited to be a part of the Good Guy family.
Keith’s passion for sports has never wavered. The teams he follows closely include the Philadelphia Eagles, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins and Syracuse University athletics. Keith has a fantastic wife and three young daughters. He enjoys travel and staying active with his family.
Christine Newmans — Accounting
Christine has worked with Good Guy Flooring for 7 months. She is new to the flooring business. She has previous experience working in freight logistics. She has also been a small business owner in food service. Christine loves going to the mountains and being outside. She also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and reading. She works hard each day, behind the scenes, to ensure our team and clients are taken care.
Chris McManus — Operations Manager
Chris has been in the flooring industry for 18 Years. His expertise is in customer service, purchasing, warehousing, logistics and operations for manufacturers, distributors &dealers. Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends exploring and enjoying North Texas and all it has to offer. He is a big fan of anything local and unique. He also likes to enjoy a cold beer on the weekend.
Loren Martin — Sales Manager
Loren Martin hails from Wisconsin. Relocating to Texas in 1988, he came from humble beginnings as a flooring installation helper and worked his way through the industry as a retail rep, manufacturers rep to owning his own flooring store. When he’s not the driving force behind Good Guy Flooring’s account managers he can be found spending time with his family traveling around for youth baseball events or at the ranch, rodeo or team roping.
Jacob Morin — Account Manager, Commercial & Multi-Family
Jacob A. Morin is an Account Manager at Good Guy Flooring, where Jacob oversees the sales force for Texas and Oklahoma. He joined the company in 2018, with 4 years previous experience in sales. Before joining the company, Jacob ran a successful flooring company in Connecticut. Jacob has over 20+ years’ experience as a master tiler and has certifications in several different underlayment products and specifications. Jacob’s favorite part about the flooring industry is the face to face with clients and overseeing the production of the job from start to finish, to ensure every customer is 100% satisfied with the work performed.
Jacob was born in Canada and grew up in Northern Maine, his first language is French. He has three boys and one step-daughter. Jacob enjoys spending time with family, attending church, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.
Gary Webb — Estimator
Before coming to Good Guy Flooring, Gary worked the past 8 years doing mitigation work for insurance companies, and is WRT, ASD certified. He has handled at least 500 claims during that time and has seen a lot of heavy damage to flooring materials of all makes and models, and is one of the most highly regarded technicians around. Gary spent a lot of his time teaching others how to run successful mitigation jobs, and worked on many adjuster homes during that time because he is trusted to do things right. He has hand drawn floor plans throughout this time and is very skilled at it.
Gary’s main career before this time was in publishing (15 years). He has owned several local newspapers and magazines in the DFW area, and only retired from that after 7 years because the whole industry was being replaced by technology. Sad to see those print publications fail, but life goes on. Gary is happy to see his daughter has taken up the creative side with her own marketing/advertising business. Gary began his career in newspapers in Lubbock, Texas where he grew up. Attended Texas Tech working towards a EE degree and wound up in graphic design. Worked as a graphic designer for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the Plano Star Courier, and many small publications after that.
Commercial Estimating is something new to Gary, but his experiences in the past with construction, mitigation, architectural drawing, and building has helped to be able to understand the products and processes necessary to produce estimates. Gary is looking forward to learning more each day, and feels this organization is a great place to be.
David Anderson — Account Manager
David has been in the flooring industry for 32 years and his experience ranges from installation to sales and project management. His expertise extends to all flooring surfaces including carpet, tile, stone and wood. In addition to retail flooring sales, David’s experience over the years has included a wide range of projects including simple home remodels, residential and commercial new construction, and large-scale government contracting. BBA Management, University of North Texas Hobbies include Mean Green athletics, which also involves best in class tailgating and cooking world class barbeque during football season. Wine drinking, collecting, and education, and lastly a little golf from time to time.
Chris Cook — Account Manager
Chris and his wife Marcie have raised five children. The youngest Jillian recently graduated from OU. Next is Christa, who is getting her masters degree in engineering from Vilanova. The rest of them are out making their place in society. Chris and his wife have a lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. If he’s not working, that’s where you will find him, at his little piece of heaven. Chris enjoys fishing, boating or just hanging out with friends and family.
Edd Cook — Account Manager
Edd has 4 Years of experience in the flooring industry. His experience is in Retail Sales, Insurance and Restoration work and Custom Home Builder relations. Edd enjoys spending time with his family and friends, eating good food, discovering new places in the DFW area, and spending time on the lake fishing, wake-boarding, and just having fun outside.
Steven Shanley — Account Manager
Bill Shaw — Account Manager
Born and raised in Texas, Bill has been in the flooring industry for 24 years and has won numerous awards for top sales in his career. Bill has extensive knowledge in both residential and commercial flooring. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughters Hannah, Holly and Hayden, and playing golf.
Joey Sims — Account Manager
Joey has been in the flooring industry for 34 years. He started at a very early age helping his parents and grandparents installing floors and with remodeling projects. Joey began working with a very successful high-end remodel contractor in Fort Worth during his Junior year in high school. He spent seventeen years of his career working with Home Depot in flooring and design. Joey helped to develop their installation program. He also managed all aspects of the flooring program for both The Home Depot Expo and The Home Depot Floor Store. Joey has spent many years building and developing relationships in the flooring industry. Joey enjoys spending time with my family and friends, lots of different volunteering, mentoring, business investments, and being in the Texas hill country and looking for lake property to build on
Curtis Thomas — Warehouse Manager
Curtis has been in the flooring business for four years. He has over ten years of experience in Warehouse Management and Inventory Control. Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young boys. He also enjoys home projects, watching football, grilling, and the outdoors.
Gary Turner — IT Manager
Gary moved to the Dallas area in 1984. He studied accounting, business and computer programming in college and spent over 20 years in computer programming, networking, and IT support. While new to the flooring business, Gary brings expertise in networks, programming and hardware and software support to Good Guy. In his free time, Gary enjoys travel, home improvement projects, barbequing and spending time with friends and family.
Beth Seeber — Marketing Manager
Beth has been in the marketing field for 13 years, and enjoys coding, web design, copywriting, and photo editing.
In her free time Beth loves baking bread, dancing, cooking and camping with her husband Chris, their three sons, and dog Obi-wan. Beth is an active leader for a pack of wild Cub Scouts.
