Home Project Advisor
Job Type: Full-Time | Rate: $50,000-100,000 a Year (w/ Commission) | Location: The Colony, TX + Remote

The Good Guys, one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s premiere flooring and home renovation providers, is searching for a Home Project Advisor to join our team!

As a Home Project Advisor for The Good Guys you will be responsible for providing our customers with a one stop shopping experience when it comes to all their flooring and home renovation needs. You will work directly with both homeowners and general contractors on each and every one of their specific needs including, but not limited to, sales floor interactions, working with designers, builders, architects, developing specific plans and projects, creating project bids, and overseeing the entire project from start to finish. Additionally, as our Home Project Advisor you will be responsible for building and developing relationships with clients in order to build your book of business and accounts.

If you are a driven and results oriented sales professional with a strong ability to communicate effectively and a strong knowledge in flooring and/ or remodel sales, then we would love to speak with you!!

  • Provide every customer with a complete one stop flooring and home renovation experience including but not limited to, solution and services explanation, initial solution and services selection, completion of in-home measurements, overall design consultations, mockup drawings, square footage calculations, proposal/quote development, and personalized follow up calls and showroom visits.
  • Monitor flooring and/or remodel projects through completion including but not limited to monitoring inventory, communicating with Operations to ensure product is in stock, closing out projects in the ERP system, installation is scheduled, and payment is collected.
  • Plan and execute proactive outreach strategies with prospective clients to generate awareness of our company and our products while also expanding our customer base.
  • Create a positive first impression with prospects while building and maintaining strong, long-last relationships by providing every customer with an experience they will never forget.
  • Update lead, quote, and order progress, and enter, process and monitor customer orders/sales in QFloors CRM database.
  • Provide a clear, compelling, and articulate explanation of what we, as The Good Guys, can offer to our customers.
  • Develop a firm knowledge base of the products we offer and the services we can provide.
  • Identify and connect with potential clients in existing markets while also researching building current accounts.
  • Create bids, negotiate contracts, and close agreements to maximize profits and meet all of the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs, objectives, and goals.
  • Maintain active engagement with all customers.
  • Constantly be searching for new and creative avenues to increase sales performance outside of the current trends.
  • Provide and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction for past, present, and future clients.
  • Ensure quotas, goals, and metrics set are met and/or exceeded.
  • Identify emerging markets that could be valuable to the business.
  • Stay updated on shifts in the market and create sales plans to effectively navigate those changes.
  • Establish, own, and hit/exceed annual sales targets.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
  • Participate in other assigned projects as required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer services focused role.
  • History of achieving impressive work result, while meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proven ability to drive customer-oriented processes from initial consultation to transaction completion.
  • Self-sufficient attitude capable of working and multitasking with little direct supervision.
  • Strategic and problem-solving orientation and superior planning and organizational skills.
  • Business acumen in combination with a demonstrated dedication to sales best practices.
  • Ability to take direction well with an openness to learning.
  • Demonstrated ability as a detail-orientated, highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
  • Strong client orientation including service attitude/approach, listening, and understanding.
  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills to communicate (oral and written) in a professional manner when working with customers, employees, management, company contacts, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to analyze sales plans effectiveness and understand ROI, with a willingness to be versatile and be hands-on with a lot of the work.
  • Proficiency in stand computer systems and software such as, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in flooring and/or construction industry roles preferred, but not required.
  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Prior experience with all aspects of home remodeling is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience utilizing the Qfloors software platform preferred, but not required.

Lighting & Home Decor Sales Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time | Rate: $45,000-60,000 a Year (w/ Commission) | Location: The Colony, TX

As a Lighting & Home Décor Sales Specialist for The Good Guys you will be responsible for providing every customer with an enjoyable, convenient, and successful shopping and buying experience. Your goal will be to create an experience that leads to increased sales and sustained long term relationships with new and existing customers. In order to achieve this authentic conversations and active listening will be key.

  • Greet and listen to customer in order to build a welcoming environment and develop long term trust.
  • Understand and listen to the needs and wants of customer and share knowledge to help meet those needs.
  • Provide customers with extensive product and service information in order to help them make informed choices.
  • Monitor lighting and décor sales and assist with the entire sales process though completion.
  • Monitor projects through completion including but not limited to monitoring inventory and communicating with Operations to ensure product is in stock and install is scheduled.
  • Create a positive first impression with prospects while building and maintaining strong, long-last relationships by providing every customer with an experience they will never forget.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time while maintain the highest level of detail.
  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills to communicate (verbal and written) in a professional manner when working with customers, employees, management, company contacts, and subject matter experts.

  • Proven and demonstrable history of achieve impressive sales results, meeting or exceeding targets.
